JOB DESCRIPTION


   » Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the Embedded Softwre Design and Development as part of a Connectivity Software Project(s) Team.
Analyze, estimate and develop Software requirements located on system requirements, review these with Core Software Engineering and support acceptance with Customer prior implementation.
Architect, design and implement functional changes as requested by the Core Software Engineering.
Plan Software releases along with Core Software Engineering Team for the assigned projects.
Install and configure the development environment including code generation (build scripts, make files, etc.) and debug platform, execute software debug.
Perform and support calibration activities, analysis and reporting.
Support validation of requirements and coverage analysis.
Confer with other engineering and Core Software Team members on a regular basis to ensure all aspects of the requirements are coming together seamlessly.
Participate in reviews along with Engineering to support requirements mitigation / issue tracking / planning.

Qualifications required
5-10 years' of Embedded Software Design (firmware) practice in Automotive Telematics and/or Infotainment type applications.
broad working practice with Modem chipsets (GSM, 3G, 4G/LTE), GNSS receivers: GPS, Galileo, GLONASS systems, WiFi/BT(LE) chipsets, Automotive Ethernet, Automotive Audio, Backup battery management and various sensor such as Gyro's and Accelerometers.
Good knowledge of embedded Linux and C/C++ programming.
Development practice with I2C, SPI, SDIO, UART, USB, HSIC, PCM, I2S interfaces.
Development practice involving GPIO, ADC, Timers, PWM, Clocks.
Optimization of system startup and shutdown.
Familiar with TCP/IP suite of protocols.
Familiar with 3GPP protocol specifications.
Familiar with GNSS operation and control.
Familiar with memory management systems, file systems, and memory protection algorithms.
Previous practice developing products that use Wireless WAN protocols such as LTE or WCDMA.
Familiar in developing application for vehicle connectivity such as vehicle tracking, eCall, WiFi AP/ Client, Dead Reckoning, Mobile Online Data (MOD's), FOTA and Cloud technologies.
Great practice developing software for HW bring-up and calibration i.e RF calibration.
Strong technical knowledge and Analytical skills (systematic approach, capcapability of abstraction and simplification, recognize dependencies, weaknesses and risks, understand the use, boundary conditions and fields of application of systems).
Hands-on practice with vehicle integration, system calibration and debug.
Great Communication skills - communicate effectively internally with technical experts.
Knowledgeable about Software Configuration and Change Control Management like PVCS/SVN, Serena Business Manager or similar ALM/CM/RM tools.
Familiar with Software Development Cycle (V-cycle) for Automotive, SPICE and / or CMMi.

Knowledgeable in one of the Vehicle Network Architecture such as Chrysler PowerNET, FIAT CAN-I, Ford FNOS, GM GMLAN, Daimler SLP10.
Knowledgeable of Vehicle Diagnostics standards UDS ISO 14229, KWP2000 and related tools CANdela Studio, CANDiVA
