The town is located in the breath-taking beauty of the Precambrian Shield. The waters of the local rivers and the rugged terrain provide great beauty and opportunities for marvellous fishing, hunting and outdoor activities. The Wellness Promoter reports to the Mental Health Capacity Building School Coordinator. Position to start March 8, 2021.The incumbent will work as part of a team to meet the objectives of the division. The objectives will be met by delivering appropriate, evidence-located programming to children, youth and families. tasks include, but are not limited to: Delivering programming for groups in school and community settings; Working with students, schools staff, parents/guardians and community members to increase expertise and expertise related to mental health issues; Understand and adapt to the changing needs of the community related to mental health and wellness; Build and maintain strong relationships with the children, you and families; Identify and facilitate access for individuals who need referrals to mental health and addiction services.
