The person would work on the production line cutting all types of glass from plate to laminated.practice is preferred but might be willing to train the right individual. expertise and AbilitiesEssential expertise- Reading text - Document use - Numeracy - Writing - Oral communication - Working with others - Problem solving - Decision making - Critical thinking - Job task planning and organizing - Finding information - Computer use - Continuous learning - Significant use of memory Additional expertise - Record manufacturing information such as quantity, size and type of goods produced Specific expertise - Weigh, measure and check production samples to assess conformance to specifications - Visually inspect products for quality - Smooth rough edges using belt sander or smoothing wheels - Place sheet of glass on padded table or in jig and measure and mark glass - Operate finishing machines to grind, drill, sand, bevel, decorate, wash or polish glass or glass products - Examine and mark defective glass to obtain the best cut - Ensure correct operation of machines and verify specified processing conditions and make adjustments - Cut glass along marked outlines or around pattern using hand tools Skills:
