The City of Colwood’s Park Operations division is in search of self-motivated, enthusiastic individuals to join their dynamic team as Seasonal Parks Labourer I.

The City of Colwood has opportunities for 4 (four) FULL TIME SEASONAL Labourer I positions . These are UNION positions with CUPE, local 374. The projected seasonal term for these positions is April through September 2021.

NATURE AND SCOPE OF WORK
The Parks Labourer 1 is responsible for maintenance and custodial work, assisting Parks Operations staff with the care and upkeep of parks, trails, playground areas and cemeteries during peak seasonal times. You must be able to safely perform physically demanding activities and be familiar with the use of common tools of the trade such as weed eaters, mowers, hedge trimmers and similar. You thrive in a fast-paced environment with the capability and motivation to take initiative to get the job done. You must be able to work effectively in a team setting and independently.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
   » Six (6) months practice directly related to the work to be performed
   » Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
   » Possession of a valid B.C. class 5 Driver’s License
   » Possession of a valid Traffic Control Person Certificate
