The home support worker we are searching for must speak Portuguese as the individual in question is only able to communicate in Portuguese, you also need to be able to communicate in English should an emergency occur. A home support worker with CPR/First Aid and a minimum of 1-2 year practice, as well as practice preparing cultural foods and speaking Portuguese is best fit. tasks include but are not limited to: Assisting the individual with everyday routines, performing household chores indoors (dusting, vacuuming, washing the floors, laundry, taking care of the dogs area, etc.) and outdoors ( Washing windows, maintaining the flower areas, cleaning the dogs run etc.) when requested to as well as preparing meals. The home is located in Maple Ridge, British Columbia (full address will be provided to the hired candidate). We are offering the rate of $17.31/hr for full time hours of 40 hours a week. We also offer dental and extended medicals after a 6 months probation period.
