Reporting to the foreman, the Roller Operator will be responsible for the distribution and compression of the cooling asphalt to ensure a quality product and outcome resulting in a superior finish to the road surface. The function: Operation of the roller and additional equipment in a safe and efficient manner while complying with applicable legislation according to OH&S everyday maintenance and safety check on equipment Clear communication with the team and manager regarding customer feedback, mechanical issue, or delivery problems Attention to detail with speed and direction of roller to ensure smooth compaction Miscellaneous tasks as needed including site setup and cleanup The Ideal Candidate: 5-8 years road and paving construction practice with 3-5 of those years operating a roller Strong work ethic with a focus on health and safety, integrity, relicapability, and team-player Flexible schedule as overtime may be required Physically able to work in a high paced environment PME certification for equipment CSA approved steel-toed boots are required Skills:
