Job Level NV-10 As an IT architecture designer, you help ensure IT efficiency by analyzing, designing and updating programming algorithms (computer software and web applications) and IT tool architecture (software, networks, databases, etc.). You ensure consistency with the organization's current and future needs and structure, while also ensuring that new components are compatible with the existing architecture (software applications, products, services, etc.). You design detailed architecture, software and testing/implementation strategies for large-scale, innovative projects and initiatives. You analyze, develop and recommend functional, organic and technology solutions and priorities. The capability to work with technology, anticipate innovation and optimize work processes is therefore essential. You advise clients and employees on integration and coordination matters, so the capability to communicate effectively and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of needs is key. Your initiatives require broad knowledge of your specialty area. You are responsible for strategic projects and initiatives that are operationally and conceptually complex and require comprehensive analysis and knowledge of the organization and line of business. Coordination is critical, so you frequently interact with stakeholders working in many other fields. You serve as specialist advisor and leader for your unit and decision-making bodies.
